The Canada–Ghana Chamber of Commerce – Calgary Chapter (CGCCCC) is a nonprofit business, trade, and community development organization committed to strengthening economic, educational, investment, innovation, and cultural partnerships between Canada and Ghana.
As a dynamic international platform, CGCCCC serves as a bridge connecting businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, professionals, educational institutions, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and diaspora communities. Through these connections, we create opportunities that promote trade, investment, entrepreneurship, workforce development, innovation, and sustainable economic growth.
Our mission extends beyond business development. Our Charitable Purposes
Advancement of Education
To advance education through scholarships, bursaries, workshops, conferences, mentorship, leadership training, TVET, and workforce development for youth, students, entrepreneurs, newcomers, and underserved communities.
Relief of Poverty
To relieve poverty by providing education, employment readiness, entrepreneurship training, skills development, financial literacy, mentoring, and charitable programs that support economic self-sufficiency.
Community Development
To support charitable programs that promote social inclusion, volunteerism, leadership, civic participation, youth engagement, women’s empowerment, family support, newcomer integration, and community resilience.
Humanitarian Assistance
To provide charitable relief to individuals and communities affected by poverty, emergencies, disasters, food insecurity, or other needs through financial assistance, food, clothing, materials, equipment, and support.
Agriculture and Food Security
To advance education and public awareness in agriculture, agribusiness, food security, environmental stewardship, sustainable farming, and rural development through programs, demonstrations, research, and outreach.
Innovation, Technology and Workforce Development
To advance education through charitable programs that promote innovation, technology, digital literacy, artificial intelligence awareness, scientific learning, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and capacity building.
Energy and Environmental Sustainability
To promote public awareness of renewable energy, environmental protection, climate resilience, sustainability, energy efficiency, and responsible resource management through education and outreach.
Cultural and International Understanding
To advance education and appreciation of cultural diversity through educational and cultural exchange programs that foster understanding, cooperation, inclusion, and friendship between Canada, Ghana, and the world.
International Development
To undertake charitable international development programs that improve education, health, economic inclusion, community capacity, environmental sustainability, and quality of life in underserved communities.
Charitable Partnerships
To collaborate with registered charities, educational institutions, Indigenous organizations, governments, nonprofit organizations, community organizations, and other qualified organizations to advance charitable purposes.
Charitable Fundraising
To receive, manage, invest, and apply donations, grants, sponsorships, gifts, and charitable contributions exclusively in support of the organization’s charitable purposes and applicable laws.
Incidental Business Activities
To carry on activities such as conferences, educational events, publications, memberships, sponsorships, fundraising campaigns, and social enterprises only where they directly support the charitable purposes.
